Manitoba PNP Latest Draw Updates & 2026 Outlook
The Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) regularly invites eligible immigration candidates through its Expression of Interest (EOI) system. These draws allow Manitoba to select skilled workers, graduates, and business investors who can contribute to the province’s long-term economic and labour market needs.
MPNP draws are typically conducted multiple times each month, although the exact draw size, date, and stream selection depend on Manitoba’s application inventory and workforce priorities.
Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP): Program Overview
Introduced in 1998, the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program holds the distinction of being Canada’s first-ever Provincial Nominee Program. The initiative was created to support Manitoba’s economic growth by attracting newcomers aligned with the province’s demographic trends and employment demands.
When the program first launched, Manitoba welcomed approximately 55 immigrants in its inaugural year. Today, through its various immigration pathways, the province nominates more than 10,000 new immigrants annually, making MPNP one of Canada’s most popular PNPs.

Manitoba PNP Immigration Streams
Applicants interested in immigrating to Manitoba can choose from three main stream categories, each catering to different candidate profiles:
Skilled Worker Stream
- Skilled Worker in Manitoba
- Skilled Worker Overseas
International Education Stream (IES)
- Career Employment Pathway
- Graduate Internship Pathway
- International Student Entrepreneur Pilot (ISEP)
Business Investor Stream (BIS)
- Entrepreneur Pathway
- Farm Investor Pathway
Some MPNP pathways operate as enhanced streams, while others function as base streams.
Enhanced vs. Base Streams Explained
Enhanced MPNP streams are aligned with Canada’s federal Express Entry system, which manages permanent residence applications under three major economic immigration programs. Express Entry uses the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) to rank candidates based on age, education, work experience, and language ability.
Candidates who receive a nomination through an enhanced Manitoba stream are awarded an additional 600 CRS points, which virtually guarantees an Invitation to Apply (ITA) for Canadian permanent residence in a subsequent draw.
Applicants who do not qualify under Express Entry can still pursue immigration through base streams. These candidates apply directly to Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) after receiving a provincial nomination from Manitoba.
Manitoba PNP Next Draw Prediction for 2026
The Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program generally issues invitations twice per month, though draw frequency and size may vary. Upcoming MPNP draws in 2026 will continue to be influenced by labour shortages, regional hiring needs, and the overall application backlog.
