The province of New Brunswick shares borders with Quebec in the north, the Atlantic Ocean in the east and the U.S. state of Maine in the west. A hidden gem, New Brunswick is home to some of Canada’s most beautiful cities and attractions. With many job options for immigrants, limitless opportunities for entrepreneurs, sparsely populated neighbourhoods, life in New Brunswick is simply perfect.
The New Brunswick Provincial Nominee Program is for foreign nationals who can fill gaps in the workforce and contribute to the economy and local communities. Under this category, the province operates several immigration streams:
The Express Entry Labour Market Stream (EELMS) is a great option for highly skilled individuals who seek Canadian permanent residence. Eligible candidates receive expedited processing on their immigration applications.
The New Brunswick Entrepreneurial Stream is for experienced business owners or senior business managers willing to invest in a business. To be eligible for this category, applicants must have a significant net worth and ready to start a new or purchase an existing business in the province.
Note: This program was temporarily closed in 2018 and expected to reopen in the future.
This stream targets recent graduates from New Brunswick who started or bought a business and operated it for at least one year in the province. Applicants who meet the requirements and want to settle permanently in New Brunswick may qualify for a provincial nomination through this stream.
Under the New Brunswick Skilled Workers with Employer Support Stream, highly skilled foreign workers with a valid job offer from a New Brunswick employer may receive Provincial Nomination from New Brunswick.
The New Brunswick Skilled Workers with Family Support Stream is for high skilled foreign workers currently working in New Brunswick and having a close relative in the province. Note: The program was terminated in February 2018.
