Migrating to Canada is easier than ever, and with the Express Entry system, you can work and live in Canada permanently. The country offers opportunities to skilled workers under the FSW category, qualified workers in a skilled trade, and also those with Canadian experience.
An online system, the Canada Express Entry program manages the application of qualified applicants. Applicants who match the cut-off draw receive an Invitation to Apply for Canadian PR.
Canada Express Entry is the fastest and most popular pathway for skilled immigrants to settle permanently in Canada. The express entry program is an online point-based system used for processing the application of candidates who wish to apply for Canadian Permanent Residency.
Candidates qualifying for the following programs are eligible to apply under the Express Entry Program:
To be eligible for the Express Entry program, the applicant must qualify for one of the economic immigration programs. While applying for the Federal Skilled Worker Program, a candidate needs to score at least 67 out of 100 points, based on six selection factors. Eligible candidates are then ranked against one another in the Express Entry pool, based on a variety of selection factors like age, education, work experience, language etc.
There are different requirements for each of the programs. To apply under the Express Entry program as a skilled worker, a candidate must:
These are the minimum requirements; however, candidates with better profiles have higher chances of getting selected from the Express Entry pool.
Check the program you eligible for. Read the minimum requirements of the program and decide.
Before applying, make sure you have all the required documents including language test results, educational certificates, work experience letters, and others.
While creating your profile, you are required to provide the required information. You will be then accepted in the pool of candidates and ranked against other candidates under the points-based system. The scores are based on the information provided while creating the Express Entry profile.
Once you have submitted your Expression of Interest, you will enter the Express Entry pool. If you match the CRS cut off, you will receive an Invitation to Apply (ITA), after which you have 90 days to submit your application for permanent residence.
