Atlantic Immigration Pilot Program
The Atlantic Immigration Pilot Program operates the following three categories:

Atlantic Intermediate Skilled Program (AISP)

Atlantic High Skilled Program (AHSP)

What Is The Atlantic Immigration Program?
The Atlantic Immigration program focuses on five priority areas as below:

Intermediate-Skilled Worker Stream
The applicant must meet the following eligibility criteria to be eligible under the intermediate-skilled worker stream:
- A valid job offers from a designated employer under NOC Skill Level 0, A, B, or C.
- At least 12-months of full-time, skilled work experience (or equivalent amount in part-time). At NOC level 0, A, B, or C.
- Canadian high school diploma or equivalent foreign education.
- Minimum of CLB level 4, in either English or French.
- Sufficient funds to support oneself and family when settling
High-Skilled Worker Stream
The high-skilled worker stream targets applicants who meet the following eligibility requirements:
- A valid job offers from a designated employer under NOC Skill Level 0, A, or B.
- At least 12-months of full-time skilled work experience (or equivalent amount in part-time).
- A Canadian high school diploma or equivalent foreign education.
- Minimum of CLB level 4 in either English or French.
- Sufficient funds to support oneself and family while settling in Canada.
International Graduates Stream
To qualify under the International Graduates stream, an applicant must meet the following eligibility requirements:
- Valid job offer from a Designated Employer for at least 12-months under NOC Skill Level 0, A, B, or C from a designated employer
- A completed education credential of 2 years, completed within the previous 24-months, in the Atlantic province where the applicant lived at least for 16 months for the final two years of study
- Minimum of CLB level 4 in either English or French.
- Sufficient funds to support oneself and family when settling

Atlantic Immigration Pilot Program- Key Steps To Apply
Employer Designation
An employer from the Atlantic region must:
- Express an interest to use this AIPP as a full-time pathway to recruit and retain foreign talent in the Atlantic region.
- Contact one of the participating settlement service providers and commit to preparing their workplace to welcome newcomers.
- Apply to the province to become a designated employer for the program.
- Employer’s Canada PNP application must be approved by the Atlantic province
- Selects candidates based on the eligibility criteria for the job position.
Endorsement
- The selected candidate gets connected to the local settlement service provider for a needs assessment facilitated by the designated employer.
- As part of the needs assessment, the service provider then helps the candidate draft a settlement plan for themselves and their family.
- The designated employer receives a copy of the settlement plan from the candidate.
- Thereafter, the candidate needs to wait until the provincial nomination formalities are completed by the employer. The profile is assessed based on the candidate’s job offer, work experience and a settlement plan.
- In case of urgent job positions, candidates may also apply for a temporary work permit (if applicable) by showing proofs of a job offer, a letter of referral from the provincial government, and a commitment to apply for permanent residence in Canada.
- Once the province receives the application, the candidate will receive an endorsement letter.
Employer Designation
- Eligible candidates need to apply with Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada. The application must include the job offer, endorsement letter, and other required documents.
- The applications for permanent residency are processed with six months by IRCC.
- The applicants who attain Canadian PR can migrate to Canada with their accompanying family.
- The employer arranges for the candidate’s settlement and community integration.

Can I apply Atlantic immigration Program without job offer?

Who Qualifies For Exemption From The AIP Work Experience Prerequisite?
You are excused from meeting the work experience criterion if you satisfy each of the following criteria.
- A foreign graduate
- Holding a degree, certification, or diploma, etc.
- That entailed a minimum of two years' academic pursuit
- From any of the accredited 24 higher education institutions in Atlantic Canada,
- Having been a full-time student throughout the duration
- Residing in any of the Atlantic Canada provinces for at least 16 months during the two years preceding graduation,
- Possessing the necessary visa or permit during your stay in Canada.

Processing Duration: What Is The Timeframe For Obtaining PR Via AIP?
