3 Steps to Follow After Receiving Your ITA for Canada PR

3-Step Process After Receiving ITA under Canada Express Entry
Here's a breakdown of the 3-step process after receiving the ITA:
STEP 1: Gather Required Documents
PROOF OF IDENTITY
- Passport: Submit a copy of the biographical data page or travel document of your passport and each family member accompanying you.
- Birth Certificate: Submit the birth certificate for every individual included in your Canada PR application. If you have adopted children, provide their adoption certificates.
- Marital Status:
- Single: No documents are required.
- Married: Provide a marriage certificate.
- Common-law/Conjugal Relationship: Provide evidence of a genuine relationship.
- Divorced: Provide a divorce certificate for each divorce.
- Widowed: Provide both marriage and death certificates.
In some instances, candidates may be asked to provide one or more of the listed documents. For example, if you have been divorced and remarried, you must provide both the divorce certificate and your new marriage certificate.
LANGUAGE TEST RESULTS
IRCC already possesses access to your language test results, regardless of the test you undertook. However, it’s advisable to submit a copy of your results along with your Canada PR application, even if IRCC hasn’t explicitly requested it. Proactively providing this information can save you time in case IRCC requires it later. Additionally, include the approved language test results of your spouse.
WORK EXPERIENCE
As part of the application process, you must substantiate your work experience. To demonstrate proof, include:
- Reference letters from previous employers
- Electronic copies of your employment contracts
- Samples of payslips (if applicable)
If you are claiming work experience in Canada, submit:
- T4 tax information slips
- Notice of Assessment and Option C printouts from CRA
