New Brunswick Issues 669 ITAs Through Multiple Draws in Early June

New Brunswick has conducted a significant round of immigration selections, inviting 669 candidates to pursue permanent residency through various provincial and regional immigration programs. The invitations were distributed during draws held on June 3 and June 4, 2026, demonstrating the province’s continued focus on attracting skilled workers, international graduates, French-speaking talent, and experienced professionals to support labour market needs.

The latest invitation rounds were carried out through the New Brunswick Provincial Nominee Program (NBPNP) as well as the Atlantic Immigration Program (AIP). Together, these pathways targeted workers employed in several high-demand sectors, including healthcare, construction, transportation, manufacturing, education, and information technology.

Provincial Nominee Program Accounts for Majority of Invitations

Most invitations issued during the June selection rounds came through the NBPNP, which represented more than 86% of all invitations. Three key streams participated in the draw series:
These programs are designed to help employers address workforce shortages while providing immigration opportunities to qualified foreign workers and graduates already connected to the province.

Skilled Worker Stream Leads With 381 Invitations

The largest share of invitations was issued through the Skilled Worker Stream, where 381 candidates received invitations on June 3. Two pathways were used to select candidates:

Candidates considered under these draws were required to have submitted eligible profiles before the selection deadline of June 2, 2026.

    Who Qualifies Under These Pathways?

The New Brunswick Experience pathway is intended for foreign nationals already employed within the province. Applicants generally need at least six months of continuous full-time work experience with an eligible New Brunswick employer.

The New Brunswick Graduates pathway is designed for international students who completed eligible studies in New Brunswick and are currently working, or have accepted employment, with a qualified employer in the province.

Francophone Immigration Remains a Key Priority

New Brunswick also continued its efforts to attract French-speaking newcomers through the Strategic Initiative Stream. A total of 146 invitations were issued across two Francophone-focused pathways on June 3.

The province used a common selection deadline of June 2, 2026, for both pathways.

    Francophone Priorities Pathway

This pathway supports French-speaking candidates who have established connections with New Brunswick. Such connections may include graduating from a French-language educational institution in the province or receiving a direct invitation from provincial immigration authorities.

    Francophone Workers Pathway

This route is intended for French-speaking individuals already employed in New Brunswick or those who have secured a qualifying job offer. Applicants generally require a strong connection to the province through employment or recruitment initiatives.

Express Entry Candidates Also Receive Invitations

On June 4, New Brunswick conducted an additional draw through its Express Entry Stream. The province invited 75 candidates through the Employment in New Brunswick pathway.

Atlantic Immigration Program Invites 97 Additional Candidates

    Understanding the Atlantic Immigration Program

The Atlantic Immigration Program serves as a permanent residence pathway for skilled foreign workers and international graduates seeking to settle in Canada’s Atlantic provinces. To qualify, applicants must receive a valid job offer from a designated employer located in one of the participating provinces:

The job offer must receive provincial endorsement, and applicants must satisfy language proficiency, educational, work experience, and settlement fund requirements before becoming eligible for permanent residence.

Key Sectors Continue to Drive Immigration Selections

The June draws highlight New Brunswick’s ongoing focus on filling workforce gaps in critical industries. Healthcare and construction remained among the most consistently targeted sectors across nearly every immigration stream. Other frequently selected occupations included transportation, manufacturing, information technology, education, and community services.

The broad range of occupations selected demonstrates the province’s strategy of using immigration to address labour shortages across multiple sectors while supporting economic growth and population expansion.

    Excluded Occupations:

In addition to the excluded occupations under the Express Entry stream, the following occupations are also not considered under the Skilled Worker stream in 2025:

What These Draws Mean for Future Applicants

The latest invitation rounds indicate that candidates who already have employment, educational credentials, or community connections in New Brunswick continue to enjoy strong opportunities for provincial nomination. French-speaking applicants, international graduates, and skilled workers with experience in priority occupations may find particularly favourable prospects as the province continues to conduct targeted immigration draws throughout 2026.

With nearly 700 invitations issued in just two days, New Brunswick remains one of Canada’s most active provincial immigration destinations for skilled foreign workers seeking permanent residence.
