The selection procedure for PNP nomination in British Columbia

Several stages are taken in British Columbia’s selection procedure for the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) nomination to ascertain a candidate’s suitability and eligibility for permanent residency in the province. The British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP) aims to draw in and keep graduates, business owners, and skilled workers who help advance the province’s economy.

    Eligibility

Through the online portal of the BC PNP, candidates submit an EOI to start the selection process. Candidates are able to share details about their education, professional experience, language skills, and relationships to British Columbia in the EOI. Candidates are given a score in the BC PNP points calculator based on the information provided, and they are then put in a pool with other prospective nominees.

    Draws

The BC PNP holds regular draws when the top candidates are invited to submit applications for provincial nomination. These contests frequently target certain groups, such as entrepreneurs, foreign graduates, and skilled workers. Candidates have a specific amount of time to submit a complete application after receiving an invitation to apply.

    Audit

Following submission, the BC PNP evaluates the application in accordance with the program rules and eligibility standards. This assessment looks at whether the information provided is accurate if the applicant will be able to settle in British Columbia, and whether their talents are in demand in the local labour market.
Candidates are given a provincial nomination certificate if they satisfactorily meet the requirements and pass the evaluation. Through Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC), this certificate enables them to submit an application for permanent residence in Canada.
