Ontario PNP invited 162 French Speaking Express Entry Candidates on 7th Oct 2021
On its 5th PNP draw of the year 2021, Ontario invited 162 French-speaking Express Entry candidates.
The draw took place on 7th October 2021 where the selected candidates would be eligible to immigrate to Canada through Ontario’s Express Entry French-Speaking Skilled Worker (FSSW) stream, an enhanced Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) stream which is aligned with the Express Entry system.
The requirements for the draw were a compulsory Express Entry profile of the candidate and a CRS score between 461 and 467.
The invited candidates will have a time period of 45 days to carry forward their provincial program application process. They will be contacted by the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP).
This draw sums up the number of invited candidates through this program in 2021 to be 651.
The very first step includes having an Express Entry profile.
Minimum Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) of at least 7 in French, and 6 in English in languages tests like IELTS or other related tests.
The candidate should have enough funds to financially support themselves in their initial days of immigration.
Benefits of having a PNP
The Provincial Nominee Program allows the provinces to invite skilled/unskilled foreign workers to permanently settle and work in the province according to the province’s labor market requirement. Every province has its own PNPs.
Express Entry candidates with a provincial nominee invitation are guaranteed to receive the ITA for permanent residency in a subsequent federal level draw.
The Provincial nomination also guarantees an automatic reward of 600 CRS points which is more than enough to receive an ITA in the Express Entry draw or a PNP-only draw.
