British Columbia Issues 357 Invitations in Latest June PNP Draw

The latest selection round, conducted on June 2 through the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BCPNP), resulted in more than 350 invitations being issued to eligible candidates. The June selection round is part of British Columbia’s broader immigration strategy aimed at recruiting talent for occupations experiencing persistent demand. Skills Immigration Draw Accounts for Majority of Invitations

Most invitations issued in the June 2 selection round came through British Columbia’s Skills Immigration category.
A total of 342 candidates received invitations under targeted occupational streams. The draw aligns with the province’s labour market priorities, particularly initiatives designed to strengthen care-related services and support ongoing construction activity.

Healthcare workers represented one of the largest groups selected, highlighting the province’s need for medical professionals and support staff. Education professionals and veterinary care workers were also included among the targeted occupations. Since the beginning of 2026, British Columbia has invited thousands of skilled workers through targeted selection rounds designed to support labour market demands across various industries.

As of June 2, the province has issued a total of 2,485 invitations through the Skills Immigration category, making it one of the most active provincial immigration pathways in Canada this year.

The June 2 draw differed from the others because it specifically invited workers in priority occupations connected to healthcare, veterinary services, education, and construction trades.

Nearly 10,000 Candidates Remain in the Registration Pool

British Columbia continues to see strong interest from foreign workers seeking provincial nomination opportunities. As of May 6, 2026, the Skills Immigration registration pool contained 9,967 active candidate profiles.

Most applicants were concentrated in the mid-range score brackets.

Strong Entrepreneur Demand Reflected in Base Stream Invitations

The Entrepreneur Immigration Base Stream recorded its largest invitation round of 2026 so far. This pathway is designed for individuals who plan to either start a new business or acquire an existing enterprise anywhere within British Columbia. Successful applicants are expected to make a qualifying investment and actively manage their business operations within the province.

Regional Stream Supports Economic Growth Beyond Metro Vancouver

Unlike the Base Stream, candidates under the Regional Stream must establish a new business in a participating regional community. The objective is to promote economic diversification, create local jobs, and encourage population growth in areas that may benefit from additional business development. By directing entrepreneurial investment toward regional locations, the province seeks to ensure that economic benefits are distributed more evenly across British Columbia.

Entrepreneur Program Activity in 2026

The June selection round represents another step in British Columbia’s effort to attract international business talent.

To date, the province has conducted ten Entrepreneur Immigration draws during 2026. These draws have been divided between the Base and Regional streams, providing opportunities for both large-scale and community-focused business ventures. As of June 2, British Columbia has issued at least 64 entrepreneur invitations this year.
