    British Columbia’s Skills Immigration program continues to open doors for skilled workers and international graduates, with the latest round of invitations offering a wide array of opportunities. On September 6, 2023, the province issued 222 invitations to eligible candidates from the Skills Immigration category, emphasizing its commitment to welcoming talent from diverse fields.

    Skilled Worker​

    In this latest draw, British Columbia invited a total of 160 candidates through the General stream. These invitations encompass a range of tech occupations and Skilled Worker categories. To be eligible, candidates needed to score a minimum of 107 points.

    Skilled Worker Express Entry British Columbia (EEBC) Option​

    Applicants in the Skilled Worker and International Graduate categories who opted for the EEBC option were also issued invitations, with the same minimum score requirement of 107 points. This option provides a pathway for candidates in the federal Express Entry system to secure permanent residence in British Columbia.

    International Graduates & International Graduates EEBC Option

    International graduates were also a focus of this draw, with 110 invitations issued in both the Skilled Worker and International Graduate streams. Candidates in these two sub-categories were required to achieve a minimum score of 110 points.

    Entry Level and Semi-Skilled Opportunities

    British Columbia recognizes the importance of Entry Level and Semi-Skilled workers and extended 89 invitations to candidates in this category. These individuals play a vital role in the province’s labor market, contributing to various sectors.

    Childcare and Healthcare Professionals Welcomed

    The province is keen on bolstering its childcare and healthcare sectors. In this draw, it invited 43 childcare professionals, specifically Early Childhood Educators and Assistants (NOC 42202). These candidates were eligible under the Skilled Worker, International Graduate streams, including the EEBC option, with a minimum score of 60 points.
    Additionally, 19 invitations were extended to healthcare professionals, further highlighting British Columbia’s commitment to addressing the healthcare workforce’s needs.
