BC PNP Draw of May Issued 175 ITAs
On May 2nd, 2023, the province of British Columbia held its first Provincial Nominee Program draw of the month. The latest draw issued a total of 175 Invitations To Apply for the Canadian PR from various subcategories of the BC PNP.
General Draw
Out of the total 175 ITAs issued, 133 belonged to the eligible candidates of various General Draw categories such as:
- Skilled Worker- Minimum CRS score cutoff was 104
- Skilled Worker - EEBC option- Minimum CRS score cutoff was 104
- International Graduate- Minimum CRS score cutoff was 107
- International Graduate - EEBC option- Minimum CRS score cutoff was 107
- Entry Level and Semi-Skilled- Minimum CRS score cutoff was 85
Targeted Draws
Out of the remaining ITAs issued, the distribution was as followed:
- Skilled Worker, International Graduate (includes EEBC option) (Childcare: Early childhood educators and assistants (NOC 42202)- 22 ITAs- Minimum CRS score cutoff was 60.
- Skilled Worker, International Graduate (includes EEBC option) (Healthcare)- 16 ITAs- Minimum CRS score cutoff was 60.
- Skilled Worker, International Graduate (includes EEBC option) (Other priority occupations (NOCs 31103, 32104))- 4 ITAs- 60 CRS cutoff score
The Invitations to Apply issued in the latest draw were based on the following factors:
- Education: level, subject area, and location of completion
- Professional titles acceptable in British Columbia
- Occupation
- length of employment and level of expertise
- Occupational pay and/or skill level offered
- Desire to work, live, and establish oneself in a particular area
- Strategic priorities: elements that support government pilot programs and initiatives or specifically address BC's labor market demands
