Ontario PNP Issues 2,487 ITAs In Latest Draw
On September 10, 2024, the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) conducted its second Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) draw of the month, inviting a total of 2,487 candidates to apply for provincial nomination. The invitations, or Invitations to Apply (ITAs), were issued across three streams under the Employer Job Offer category.
The breakdown of the invitations is as follows:
- Employer Job Offer: Foreign Worker stream: 10 ITAs
- Employer Job Offer: International Student stream: 1,823 ITAs
- Employer Job Offer: In-Demand Skills stream: 649 ITAs
Employer Job Offer: Foreign Worker Stream
In this stream, a total of 15 invitations were issued, though only 10 of these were ITAs. The invitations were issued to candidates who had submitted their profiles between September 10, 2023, and September 10, 2024. This draw specifically targeted candidates under the Economic Mobility Pathways Project.

Employer Job Offer: International Student Stream
A significant portion of the ITAs—1,823 in total—were issued under the Employer Job Offer: International Student stream. These invitations were further divided into two targeted draws:
Health professions draw: 806 ITAs were issued to candidates in health-related professions who had submitted profiles between September 10, 2023, and September 10, 2024, with a score of 67 or above.
Skilled trades draw: 1,017 ITAs were issued to candidates in skilled trades, also within the same time frame and score threshold.
Employer Job Offer: In-Demand Skills Stream
The final set of 649 ITAs were issued under the In-Demand Skills stream. This was a general draw, targeting a wide range of occupations and candidates who had profiles created between September 10, 2023, and September 10, 2024, with a minimum score of 34 or above.
What is OINP?
The Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) is Ontario’s Provincial Nominee Program. It allows the province to nominate individuals for permanent residency based on labor market needs and economic priorities. Candidates are selected from various streams, including employer job offers, in-demand skills, and international students, to help fill skill shortages and support the province’s economic growth. By receiving a provincial nomination through OINP, candidates have a higher chance of receiving an Invitation to Apply (ITA) for Canadian permanent residency from the federal government.
