    Provincial Nominee Program for Ontario

Canada has over 100s visa programs for immigrants from all over the world. And out of them all, some are famous forever. There are federal government programs and provincial programs as well.
And in this article, brought to you by the best Canadian Visa Consultants in India, we are going to learn more about the PNP program in Ontario.
Through the Human Capital Priorities stream, which is connected to Express Entry, Ontario conducts OINP drawings on a regular basis. The province has the highest PNP allocation and is home to the tech centers of North America, Toronto, Ottawa, and Waterloo.
The Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program offers nine distinct routes to settling in Ontario (OINP).

Provincial Nomination - what is it?

The purpose of the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) is to assist provinces in luring and settling immigrants who can meet their local labor force demands.
Let’s say a candidate is nominated by the Province and meets the requirements by the designated pathway. If so, they may include this nomination in their application for permanent residency with Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).

What is the Provincial Nominee Program for Ontario?

Ontario was among the last provinces to implement PNP in 2007 because of the state’s sizable immigrant population. This gave newcomers to Canada numerous options to settle down in the Province. With the use of this PNP, Ontario was able to choose applicants who would be a good fit for the open positions. Every province and territory in Canada, with the exception of Quebec and Nunavut, runs its own PNPs.

What PNP sub streams does Ontario provide?

There are four distinct routes for provincial nominations in Ontario. With the division of each stream into sub streams, Ontario has a total of 9 immigration routes.

    Human Capital Priority Streams

The Express Entry application system works in partnership with the Human Capital Priority Streams.

General specifications for the Ontario HCP

The following list contains the general specifications for Ontario HCP:

    French-Speaking Skilled Worker Class

On the basis of work history, education, and evidence of financial stability, Ontario offers the French-Speaking Skilled Worker Class. Candidates with a Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) score of 7 in French and 6 in English and high competence levels.

    Skilled Trades Stream

The Federal Skilled Trades Program (FSTP) applicants who qualify for Express Entry are also qualified for provincial nomination under the Skilled Trades stream. Candidates should have one year of relevant work experience, and their trade must be classified under Major Groups 72, 73, or 82 or Minor Group 633 of the National Occupational Classification (NOC).

    Employer Job Offer Category

The candidate may submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) to the Province through a nomination in another category if they are not qualified for Express Entry. When candidates submit their nomination requests directly to the provincial government, the EOI is applicable.
By submitting an Expression of Interest (EOI), you inform the Ontario government that you should be invited to apply. If you select these pathways, your only option will be to apply for OINP should you receive an invitation.
An attestation form stating that you have fulfilled the requirements for the program you have chosen and that the remainder of the information given in the EOI is truthful must be completed and sent to the Province on the same day as the EOI is submitted.
The best course of action would be for you to wait for the Province to invite you to submit for the nomination.

Employer Job Offer: Foreign Worker Stream pathway

For foreign workers who are out of the country but have a job offer from an Ontario firm, this route is recommended.
You must be offered a job under NOC codes 0, A, or B, and you must have a license or two years of relevant work experience.

    Employer Job Offer: International Graduates

This stream is for candidates who have obtained a job offer from a company in Ontario after graduating from a university in any foreign nation. Additionally, the opportunity must be covered by NOCs 0 or A, or B.

    Employer Job Offer: In-demand occupations

Candidates for nomination may be seasoned professionals from Canada or overseas whose skills fall under NOC C or D. If the applicant possesses the essential expertise in fields with high demand for the job in Ontario that requires more workers. The Depending on whether the offer of work is inside or outside the Greater Toronto Area, the listed vocations vary slightly.

    Masters and Ph.D. Categories

The latter two programs have been created especially for masters and doctoral graduates from Ontario colleges and universities who intend to remain in the province.
