How does the BC PNP work?
There are a total of 11 PNPs or Provincial Nominee Programs in Canada. These are the immigration programs dedicated to fulfilling the talent requirements of their respective provinces.
Similarly, the BC PNP exists to meet the manpower requirements of British Columbia. The province accepts PR applications from immigration candidates under various sub-categories of the BC PNP and selects the candidates based on their CRS scores.
The province also selects applicants from the Federal Express Entry pools and grants them an additional 600 CRS points. This makes it easier for the candidates to increase their CRS score and thus, get the ITA.
