

Ontario and British Columbia hold latest PNP draws in the month of August

Ontario
Through these programs, interested candidates may be invited to apply for provincial nominations. As soon as the PNP was established in 1998, it hosted just 400 immigrants. However, it has proven so successful that Canada now welcomes over 80,000 immigrants annually through the PNP and obtains Canadian citizenship.
Applicants have to meet the basic eligibility criteria to apply for a specific stream under PNP
- Should have experience in the business of minimum of 2 years
- Must have a hold over business’s equity
- Should have experience in managing the whole business
- While running a business in Canada
if it is in the greater Toronto Area (GTA) then immigrants must provide to at least 2 Canadians or PR visa holders. However, if the business is outside GTA, only one employee is enough.
British Columbia
On August 16, more than 223 candidates were invited to apply for the BC provincial nomination program. The province typically holds a provincial nomination draw on a weekly basis. The majority of candidates (177) were invited to participate in the latest draw which included skilled jobs.
The country has also invited candidates for the following occupations.
- 26 early childhood educators and assistants (NOC 4214) with a minimum score of 60
- 15 healthcare workers with at least 60 points
- 5 health assistants with at least 60 points
