    How does OINP work?

The Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) is a key pathway for individuals seeking to immigrate to Ontario, Canada. It allows the province to nominate foreign workers, international students, and others with the skills and experience needed in Ontario’s labor market for permanent residency. The OINP coordinates with the federal government through Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC). Candidates typically apply under different streams based on their qualifications, such as the Employer Job Offer, Human Capital, or Business streams. Once nominated by Ontario, candidates can apply to the federal government for permanent residency through the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP), streamlining their immigration process. The OINP targets in-demand skills to support economic growth and address labor shortages in the province.
