Manitoba PNP Invites 428 Candidates for PR
Manitoba PNP invited 428 immigration candidates for PR
Manitoba held its PNP draw on 18th November where it invited 428 immigration candidates for PR. With this draw in play, Manitoba’s issued invitations for PR in the year 2021 have reached 9999.
The Manitoba PNP invited the 428 candidates through the below sub-categories:
Out of the above numbers, 68 invitations were issued to the Express Entry candidates.
Both the streams also had a similar requirement of the candidates’ educational credential Assessments to demonstrate that their educational level was parallel to that of the Canadian educational system.
What is Express Entry?
Express Entry is the fast-tracked immigration program that invites skilled foreign candidates to settle and work in Canada through three of Canada’s federal economic programs:
The immigration applicants in the Express Entry pool are ranked according to their Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) where the points are awarded based on factors like age, work experience, education, and language skills among others. Here, the highest-scoring candidates receive the Invitations to Apply for the PR.
It is quite possible to apply only through the Express Entry stream without going for any PNPs but a provincial nomination can award the applicants with an extra 600 points, increasing their chances of receiving the ITA.
Just like any other province, Manitoba manages its immigration through the MPNP, which gives it the chance to choose the eligible candidates for its labor market shortages. However, the PR can only be issued by the federal government but the provinces can help by sending them candidates chosen through the PNPs.
The applicants have to submit an Expression of Interest with the MPNP if they wish to immigrate through this pathway. This results in the candidates receiving an LAA through the Skilled Workers in Manitoba and Skilled Workers Overseas streams.
The immigration department of Manitoba ranks candidates out of 1,000 points (CRS).
The Skilled Workers in Manitoba and Skilled Workers Overseas streams are the subcategories of the MPNPs that allow the skilled foreign candidates to migrate to Manitoba.
However, the candidates should have an in-hand job offer from an employer of the province, in order to be eligible for this program, along with connections to Manitoba, previous experience in the province, or an invitation through one of Manitoba’s Strategic Recruitment Initiatives
International graduates who have completed their graduation in the province of Manitoba can also apply for PR through this program, under the International Education Stream, provided they have the in-demand skills.
