Alberta invited 293 Candidates for Provincial Nomination in its latest AINP Draw
In the latest AINP draw held on 12th October 2021, Alberta invited 293 immigration candidates for a provincial nomination.
The Express Entry candidates with a minimum CRS score of 300 were the ones to get invited by the province.
Tagging along as the first draw of October with the 4 other Alberta Express Entry draws held in September, it sums up to a total of 1,610 invitations by the province.
With such a good number of invitations, Alberta now has 5,910 Express Entry candidates to apply for a provincial nomination since it resumed invitation rounds in January 2021, after a temporary break in the latter months of 2020. In the year 2021, Alberta is allowed 6,250 nomination certificates.
All about the Alberta Express Entry Stream
The Alberta Express Entry system is a synchronized immigration program that allows the provincial governments to search and invite the candidates from the Express Entry pool to meet their labor market shortage.
Express Entry is the most famous and fast-tracked immigration program of Canada and it takes only 6-8 months for the entire procedure to be done. There are three federal sub-programs under it :
The candidates in the express entry pool are invited based on their CRS score, which is calculated by taking various factors into consideration, like age, work experience, education, etc.
The higher the CRS score, the more is the chance of getting nominated.
However, the candidates with low scores can apply for PNPS as it can get them an automatic of 600 CRS points, which makes it easier for them to receive the invitation later.
The AINP needs candidates with at least a year of work experience in the required sector to be nominated in the draw.
Unlike other provinces, the AINP provides a list of non-eligible jobs rather than a list of eligible jobs.
Having work experience, relatives in Canada, etc can increase your chances of getting nominated.
