British Columbia Invites 357 Candidates in new PNP Draws

British Columbia New PNP Draws
On November 23, British Columbia invited 357 new candidates for provincial nomination through the Provincial Nomination Program. With this draw in the count, BC PNP has issued nearly 11,000 invitations through various streams.
This program was designed to invite skilled foreign workers to the province and fulfill the province’s labor market demands.
The British Columbia PNP held two draws to invite the candidates from the Skills Immigration (SI) and Express Entry BC (EEBC) streams.
Candidates from the below streams were invited:
- Skilled Worker
- International Graduates
- Entry Level and Semi-Skilled sub-categories of SI and EEBC streams.
Out of 357, 258 invitations were sent through a general draw, where the minimum score requirements were between 71 and 97, depending on the program for which they were eligible.
The other draw targeted 99 candidates whose job positions were under the NOC 0621 (retail and wholesale trade managers) or NOC 0631 (restaurant and foodservice managers), with a minimum score of 103.
The British Columbia PNP has been conducting separate rounds of dual draws per month, due to the high number of foreign candidates from particular labor market sectors that are in demand.
What is the BC PNP?
The BC PNP is the province’s immigration program that is dedicated to choosing and inviting skilled foreign candidates, whose occupations are in demand in the province, to meet the province’s labor market demands. It provides the candidates with Canadian PR in return for a valuable addition to the province’s economy.
It has two further streams:
- Skills Immigration
- Express Entry
To enter into these programs, you are first required to register an account with the SIRS. After the registration, you would be ranked according to various factors such as age, work experience, educational qualifications, etc. the candidates with the highest scores would be invited through various PNP streams. And upon receiving the PNP invitations, 600 points would be automatically added to their CRS score.
This addition of points increases the chances of getting the ITA in the next Express Entry draw.
After receiving the invitations, you would get 30 days to proceed further.
After the completion of the application procedure, the province would declare the result within two to three months.
