Quebec Invites 33 Candidates in the Latest QSWP Draw

Quebec invites 33 candidates in the latest QSWP draw
In the first round of the Quebec Regular Skilled Worker Program draw held this month on 11th November, Quebec invited 33 immigration candidates for permanent residency.
The interested candidates who had filed an expression of interest (EI) in the Arrima pool, were the ones to be invited to apply for permanent selection by MIFI.
The recent invitations were issued to the candidates with a valid job offer outside the Montreal Metropolitan area the candidates residing in Quebec as diplomats, consular officials, UN representatives, or any intergovernmental organization operating in the province.
The latest draw was one of the smallest draws of the province and also the 12th one so far in 2021. The total number of candidates invited by Quebec, through the Arrima program, has been 3,256 so far. The draws in the second half of the year had issued over 500 invitations in 2021.
What is the Quebec Regular Skilled Worker Program?
The Quebec Regular Skilled Worker Program is the province’s immigration stream that invites skilled workers or international graduates from all over the world to permanently work and settle down in the province of Quebec.
The invited candidates are provided with a period of 90 days to submit their applications along with fees submission. Quebec’s immigration department processes the applications and gets all the procedures done within 6 months.
On being successful in the process, the candidates receive a Quebec Selection Certificate, which can be used to apply for permanent residence to the Canadian federal government.
Quebec manages its own immigration system, which doesn’t involve any federal interference. The candidates who want to settle in Quebec have to be assessed under a different set of rules and process than those who want to settle in any other province in Canada.
Quebec admission targets for 2022
Quebec has released its new admission targets recently, where the applications are supposed to be received through the province’s economic immigration programs, including the Quebec Skilled Worker Program (QSWP) and the Québec experience program (PEQ).
The target is set to be around 49,500 to 52,500 immigrants in 2022 through various immigration categories. An additional set of 18,000 admissions might be issued to meet the admission levels that were not met by the federal government in 2020 due to the onset of the pandemic.
This sums up to be a total of 70,000 invitations from the province of Quebec in 2022.
Do you want to be on the upcoming 70,000 lucky candidates’ list? Now is your chance to immigrate to Canada.
