Manitoba’s Immigration Goals
The December 18 draw underscores Manitoba’s focus on attracting individuals with the skills and qualifications needed to fill labor shortages in critical sectors. By prioritizing both international students and skilled workers, the province aims to create a sustainable and diverse economy.
Manitoba remains an attractive destination for immigrants due to its high quality of life, affordable cost of living, and robust job market. The MPNP continues to play a pivotal role in bringing newcomers to the province, addressing regional workforce needs, and fostering community development.
Pathway To Permanent Residency
Candidates who receive an LAA must submit their complete application to the MPNP within 60 days. Once approved, they can apply for permanent residency through Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).
The MPNP’s commitment to aligning its draws with Manitoba’s economic priorities ensures that nominated candidates are well-positioned for success in the province.
What’s Next?
Manitoba has set ambitious targets for immigration in 2024 and beyond, as the province anticipates a growing demand for skilled professionals in healthcare, technology, manufacturing, and other sectors. With continued strategic draws and targeted recruitment, the MPNP is expected to remain a key player in Canada’s immigration landscape.
