Date of the draw: 5th October

    Occupation-Specific Selection:

A noteworthy feature of this draw was the occupation-specific selection, where profiles declaring current employment in Manitoba’s high-need occupations, as identified by Statistics Canada, took center stage. Occupations falling under the National Occupational Classification (NOC) 2021 major groups 72, 73, and 75 were considered. These encompassed technical trades, general trades, and various transport-related roles.
The draw considered profiles declaring current employment in Manitoba within the following National Occupational Classification (NOC) 2021 major groups:

    All Occupations

For those profiles not selected in the occupation-specific category, a broader consideration ensued.

    International Education Stream:

The draw also extended invitations to profiles meeting the eligibility requirements of the International Education Stream, acknowledging the valuable contribution of international students to Manitoba’s workforce.

    Skilled Worker Overseas:

Profiles indicating a direct invitation by the MPNP under a Strategic Recruitment Initiative were also in the spotlight.

In total, the draw saw 542 Letters of Advice to Apply issued, with a significant portion directed towards candidates who declared a valid Express Entry profile number and job seeker validation code.

This draw underscores Manitoba’s proactive approach to talent acquisition, emphasizing occupation-specific needs while recognizing the value of international education and strategic recruitment initiatives. As the province continues to navigate evolving labor market dynamics, these targeted draws reflect a commitment to securing skilled professionals who can contribute to Manitoba’s growth and prosperity. Skilled workers aspiring to make Manitoba their home can find opportunities tailored to their expertise and experience through these strategic selection processes.
