Manitoba’s commitment to attracting skilled workers to meet its labor market needs was highlighted in the recent draw conducted by the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP). A total of 542 candidates were selected for the PR process in the recent draw on 5th October, 2023.

A noteworthy feature of this draw was the occupation-specific selection, where profiles declaring current employment in Manitoba’s high-need occupations, as identified by Statistics Canada, took center stage. Occupations falling under the National Occupational Classification (NOC) 2021 major groups 72, 73, and 75 were considered. These encompassed technical trades, general trades, and various transport-related roles.

International Education Stream:
