

Manitoba PNP Issued 540 LAAs to Three Categories on 15th June

Manitoba PNP Draw
June 15th, 2023 marked the announcement of the latest Provincial Nominee Draw by the province of Manitoba. The draw issued a total of 540 Letters of Advice to Apply for permanent residency in Canada and was distributed among three categories of the Manitoba PNP.

Skilled Worker in Manitoba
Occupation-specific selection
Profiles proving their current employment opportunities in Manitoba in professions deemed with high labor requirements on the basis of various factors are:
- Total number of LAAs distributed: 255
- Minimum CRS score required for this category: 602
The occupations under the following National Occupational Classification (NOC) 2021 major and sub-major groups were considered in this draw:
- 72 - Technical trades and transportation officers and controllers
- 731 - General construction trades
- 732 - Building maintenance installers, servicers, and repairers
- 734 - Operators, drillers, and blasters

The profiles that were not considered for an LAA in the occupation-specific category of the draw were considered here:
- Total number of LAAs distributed: 205
- Minimum CRS score required for this category: 665
International Education Stream
Applicants that proved and showed their eligibility for the International Education Stream.
- Total number of LAAs distributed: 59
Skilled Worker Overseas
Applicants that proved and showed being directly invited by the MPNP under a Strategic Recruitment Initiative.
- Total number of LAAs distributed: 21
- Minimum CRS score required for this category: 718
There was a total of 540 LAAs issued in the recent draw, out of which, 187 were reserved for the candidates who proved a valid Express Entry profile number and job seeker validation code.
Eligibility Criteria for Skilled Workers Category
If you want to be considered for the Skilled Worker Overseas (SWO) track, you must show that you have a solid relationship with Manitoba by:
- Having the assistance of family or friends (Manitoba assistance)
- Having completed your study or worked in the province previously (Manitoba Experience)
- Having received an invitation to apply directly from the MPNP as part of a strategic recruitment initiative (Manitoba Invitation).
You must receive at least 60 points based on these five criteria in addition to having a link to Manitoba: language competence, age, work experience, education, and adaptability. No matter how many points you have, you cannot apply under SWO if you have no link to Manitoba.
