The MPNP is a provincial immigration program that allows Manitoba to nominate individuals and families who demonstrate the potential to successfully settle in the province. Candidates interested in applying to the MPNP must first submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) and are then ranked based on various factors, such as age, education, work experience, language proficiency, and connections to Manitoba.
The July 27 draw witnessed a diverse group of candidates receiving LAAs across the three streams. Successful candidates were required to meet minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) scores, which ranged from 614 to 717, depending on the specific stream under which they were invited.
The Skilled Workers in Manitoba stream targets individuals who are currently working in Manitoba and have a permanent job offer from a Manitoba employer. This stream is designed to retain skilled workers and professionals who are already contributing to the local economy.
The International Education Stream is aimed at international graduates from Manitoba’s post-secondary institutions. It allows these graduates to transition from temporary study permits to permanent resident status, acknowledging the valuable contribution they make to the province’s educational and labor landscape.
Candidates invited through the Skilled Worker Overseas stream, are selected based on their connection to Manitoba through previous education or work experience in the province, close family ties, or a demonstrated ability to enhance Manitoba’s labor market and community life.
Invited candidates now have the opportunity to submit a complete application for Canadian permanent residence. If successful, they and their families will be able to settle in Manitoba and contribute to the province’s economic and social growth.

The Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program continues to play a crucial role in attracting and retaining skilled individuals, international graduates, and workers with a connection to the province. Through these invitation rounds, Manitoba aims to address labor market needs, promote cultural diversity, and build a strong foundation for the future.
Prospective candidates interested in applying to the MPNP are encouraged to create a comprehensive Expression of Interest profile to enhance their chances of receiving an invitation in future draws. The program holds regular draws to issue LAAs to candidates who meet the eligibility criteria and have the potential to thrive in Manitoba’s vibrant communities.
