BC PNP: Over 160 workers, graduates, business owners invited
British Columbia, Canada’s westernmost province, held a new Provincial Nominee Program draws on May 10.
British Columbia has held a new draw on 10 May 2022 inviting entrepreneurs, workers, and graduates to four target draws under Canada PNP.
The British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program is the most preferred immigration pathway for people to immigrate to Canada.
Applicants must be registered in one of the offered British Columbia (BC) immigration streams and have a legitimate job offer of at least 12 months in one of the 29 eligible occupations for meeting the criteria for the stream.
The second and third are held for inviting 20 workers from the healthcare sector (international students, entry and semi-skilled level workers).
The province states in detail the following statement that the state has asked less than five skilled workers nurse assistants, orderlies, and patient examination associates to apply in the entry-level and semi-skilled sub-category.
An applicant has to score a minimum of 62 points to get an invitation to apply (ITA) in both draws. A total number of 20 nursery teachers are invited as under-skilled workers and international graduate category. Similar to the second and third draw criteria, they also need 62 points to get an invitation from BC PNP.
Because from March 2022, in recent draws, targeted invitations have been issued to support the Government of British Columbia’s priorities such as: supporting specific industry sectors and encouraging regional immigration.
In March, British Columbia has invited candidates under Entrepreneur Immigration (EI) candidates. Fewer than five invitations were sent out in the EI regional pilot category. Currently, this stream is paused for the moment.
The territory is evaluating the program and will all over again initiate the invitations from July 2022. By this time, Maple Leaf has invited more than 3200 immigrants to apply for Canada Immigration under BC PNP.
About the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP) the major goal of British Columbia is to get skilled workers who are in demand and want to obtain Canadian permanent resident cards.
The BC PNP has 2 immigration pathways for newcomers’ i.e. Express Entry and Skill Immigration. Skills Immigration Registration System (SIRS) manages all the programs, invitations, and application processes for the province.
How Skills Immigration Registration System (SIRS) works?
It is an online point-based system under BC PNP; candidates register themselves and gain scores according to their profile. SIRS gives a clear picture to BC PNP to rank and select the right candidate who is eligible for Canadian Citizenship.

The SIRS is divided into three streams:
- Skills Immigration (SI)

- Entrepreneur Stream
The applicant has to achieve the required CRS points for the specific draw to get Invitation to apply (ITA) to apply for Canada Permanent Resident Card. An Officer is assigned from IRCC, he review all the application after that make a decision. He set up biometrics and interview with higher authorities. If a candidate passes all the tests, he/she will receive the COPR-Confirmation of Permanent Residence.

- Candidate must have a job offer letter from a British Columbia's employer.
- Must have a minimum of 2+ years of experience in the skilled occupation.
- Financially independent to handle expenses of yourself
- Must give Legal documents of immigration at the time of landing

When the registered candidate meets the requirements
The highest-scoring applicant from each category is selected to apply for Canadian permanent residency whenever the BC PNP draw will be held.
Once a candidate gets an invitation he/she has to submit the complete application to the online system of BC PNP.
After you submit a complete BC PNP application, you will be notified of the province’s decision within approximately two to three months.
If your application is selected by the government, you can apply to Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) for the permanent resident card under the Provincial Nominee Program.
Candidate may receive a supplementary 600 points under the CRS and hence score high enough to be eligible for an Invitation to Apply (ITA) in a subsequent national draw for fast track submissions.
