Latest Express Entry Draw Results: Issues 174 ITAs

Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has recently conducted another Express Entry draw on 18th November, inviting 174 candidates under the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP). Candidates required a minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 816 to be eligible.

This marks the second consecutive week of Express Entry draws and the third in this month, highlighting Canada’s steady efforts to meet its immigration goals.

Details of the draw: November 18, 2024

If more than one candidate has the lowest score, the cut-off is based on the date and time they submitted their Express Entry profiles.

    A Week of Frequent ITAs

Canada has been prioritizing French-speaking immigrants in recent years to ensure linguistic balance and meet economic and demographic needs. These candidates are often well-suited for regions facing labor shortages and can contribute to maintaining French-speaking communities outside Quebec.
Key benefits for French-speaking candidates include additional CRS points for language proficiency, increasing their chances of receiving an ITA. With many provinces offering tailored immigration pathways for bilingual candidates, this draw is a significant opportunity for skilled workers with advanced French language skills.

Spotlight on the 2025 Immigration Levels Plan

The newly introduced “In-Canada Focus” category will dominate admissions next year, with more than 82,000 spaces allocated primarily to candidates from the CEC stream. This category will also accommodate select applicants from the Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP), Federal Skilled Trades Program (FSTP), and PNP-aligned Express Entry streams.
Another 41,700 admissions will focus on the “Federal Economic Priorities” category, targeting candidates with skills in high-demand professions.

    Understanding Express Entry

Express Entry serves as the cornerstone of Canada’s economic immigration strategy, managing applications for three key programs:
Candidates are ranked using the CRS, which evaluates factors such as age, education, work experience, language abilities, and adaptability. Provincial nominations earn additional points, adding 600 to an applicant’s score, greatly enhancing their chances of receiving an ITA.
