Canada Invites 4,000 Healthcare Professionals in Latest Express Entry Draw

In its recent major Express Entry draw on July 22nd, Canada has targeted meeting its rising healthcare labor demand by issuing 4,000 invitations to apply (ITAs) for permanent residency. This draw was specifically designed for skilled professionals in the healthcare and social services sectors.

The eligibility for this draw was determined by a minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 475, and the candidates were also supposed to have submitted their Express Entry profiles by March 13, 2025, at 1:08 p.m. UTC.

    Results: Rounds of invitations

If more than one candidate has the lowest score, the cut-off is based on the date and time they submitted their Express Entry profiles.

Invitations to apply to the Federal Skilled Worker Program, Canadian Experience Class and Federal Skilled Trades Program may be issued through this round of invitations.

IRCC’s Focus on Healthcare and Social Services

Being the third healthcare and social services specific draw of the year, the July 22nd draw highlighted the Canadian government’s efforts towards filling the gap between the demand and availability of skilled professionals in the healthcare sector. Having an aging population and rising demands for healthcare services, the doors for professionals in this field from around the world are welcome to apply for PR. Some professions like registered nurses, therapists, social workers, home support staff, etc, are in demand too.
This draw is part of IRCC’s ongoing implementation of category-based selections, which prioritize foreign talent in high-need occupations.
